<strong>Valnerina<\/strong>, in the southeastern part of Umbria. Together with him we will go on a beautiful and rewarding <strong>trekking<\/strong> excursion surrounded by the beautiful nature of the green heart of Italy. We will begin our journey from the town of <strong>Scheggino<\/strong>, a delightful village of medieval origins located in a mountainous area crossed by the waters of the Nera River. The village retains remnants of walls and a semi-destroyed tower dating back to the 12th century, a defensive outpost that has been chipped several times. Another boast of Scheggino is the culinary delights, especially the real river trout and the prized black truffle.<\/p>\n<p>We continue our journey to discover Umbria&#8217;s hidden treasures until we reach <strong>Sant&#8217;Anatolia di Narco<\/strong>, a town located near the Nera River that, although inhabited since ancient times, owes its current appearance to the late medieval period. The castle that dominates the town dates back to the second half of the 11th century while the walls were built two centuries later.<\/p>\n<p>We will stop in the town center to visit the Church of <strong>St. Anatolia<\/strong>, a parish church with 14th-century frescoes, the small Renaissance-style Church of <strong>Santa Maria delle Grazie<\/strong>, the<strong>Abbey of San Felice and Mauro<\/strong>, the 13th-century <strong>Convent of Santa Croce<\/strong>, and the <strong>Hemp Museum<\/strong>, which is housed in the 16th-century town hall.  <\/p>\n<p><b><span Vallo di Nera is a town-monument and its stone houses are surrounded by walls and towers, and it retains its medieval urban structure intact, with narrow alleys topped by arches. The town partly preserves Romanesque, religious and civil buildings from the early Middle Ages, of which the <strong>Church of the Santissima Annunziata dell&#8217;Eremita<\/strong> is a notable example. Due to its valuable historical and scenic features, this wonderful village is considered one of the &#8220;Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vallo di Nera<\/strong> also boasts several awards, including <strong>Bee Friendly Municipality and Truffle City<\/strong>.
