Founded in 1907 in <strong>Perugia<\/strong>, Perugina has become famous for its delicious <strong>chocolates <\/strong> and for introducing the famous &#8220;<strong>Bacio Perugina<\/strong>&#8220;, a chocolate filled with <strong>gianduja <\/strong> and a whole <strong>hazelnut<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The history of Bacio Perugina is shrouded in romance and creativity, so much so that it has become one of the most loved chocolates in the world. Il Bacio was created in 1922 by <strong>Luisa Spagnoli<\/strong>, together with <strong>master chocolatier Giovanni Buitoni<\/strong>. The inspiration for the Kiss came to Luisa as she watched young couples walking through the streets of Perugia. She decided to capture the romantic moment of a kiss with a sweet gesture, thus creating a one-of-a-kind chocolate. <\/p>\n<p>The Bacio Perugina consists of a <strong>dark chocolate<\/strong> shell that wraps a heart of <strong>gianduja <\/strong> (a chocolate and hazelnut cream) and a <strong>whole hazelnut<\/strong>. Each chocolate is wrapped in a <strong>love note <\/strong> with a romantic dedication or a proverb. The success of the Bacio was immediate, becoming a symbol of Italian love and passion. The name itself, &#8220;Bacio&#8221; (which means kiss), emphasizes the link between <strong>chocolate <\/strong> and romantic
