The village was born from Arrigo (or Rigone) as an operational base that had to maintain the siege of the city of Perugia.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, since 1984, the <strong>Barbarian Festival<\/strong> and the Joust of Arrigo are celebrated, to remember the era of the Ostrogothic foundation. The celebration includes historical processions in costume which have the tradition of taking place in the first week of August: in particular the first re-enactment includes barbarian camps, all kinds of shows and war simulations! In fact, duels with axes and swords are staged in the alleys of Castel Rigone.<\/p>\n<p>1997, however, an International Festival of Young Concert Artists was held in the months of July and August, with the participation of national and international artists and high-level &#8220;<strong>ensembles<\/strong>&#8220;, in Piazza Sant&#8217;Agostino and in the Church of the Madonna dei Miracoli. The latter is considered one of the best examples of Umbrian Renaissance architecture (built by a pupil of Bramante at the end of the 15th century), contains a notable fresco by Giovanni Battista Caporali. This is also one of the oldest religious associations in Italy.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50
