Arrival in Umbria in the late afternoon, where you will be welcomed by the unique atmosphere of this region. Our tour begins with a warm welcome and hotel accommodation, where you can relax before a special evening. After a free dinner (where you can already taste some of the typical dishes of Umbria), you will discover the locations, live music and the embrace with which Perugia awaits you. Return to the hotel and overnight, ready to experience the magic of the region.
The morning begins with a rich breakfast, before leaving for Assisi, one of the most suggestive cities in Italy. This small medieval gem, known throughout the world for being the city of San Francesco, will surprise you with its thousand-year history. Walk along its cobbled streets, accompanied by an expert tour guide visiting places of spirituality and culture, such as the Basilica of San Francesco and the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, where the saint stripped his earthly possessions to follow a life of poverty. The guided tour will take you to discover the places that tell the life of one of the most beloved saints in the world.
In the afternoon, prepare for a unique experience: a Cooking Class at a charming local agriturismo. Learn the secrets of Umbrian pasta: from selecting the flour to the preparation process, and finally, the cooking of typical regional dishes. Under the guidance of an expert chef, you will make two different types of pasta, discovering the traditional techniques that have characterized Umbrian cuisine for centuries. At the end of the workshop, you’ll enjoy a lunch with a tasting of the dishes you’ve prepared, accompanied by excellent Umbrian wines. An authentic experience that will make you feel like a true chef!
The third day takes you to the Sibillini Mountains Park, a corner of unspoiled nature where the landscape turns into a work of art. If the time is right, you will witness the flowering of Castelluccio di Norcia, an explosion of colors that envelops the entire plateau. Lentils, poppies, daffodils and violets create a natural mosaic that will leave you breathless. Walk through this expanse of flowers and take unforgettable photos of a show that seems to have come out of a dream.
After this enchanting walk, you will visit a local farm, where you will discover the secrets of Umbrian charcuterie. In a region renowned for its tradition of cured meats, you will have the opportunity to see how the famous hams and sausages are made, using the Suino Nero, a native breed raised in the wild. The visit will conclude with a typical Umbrian lunch, prepared with fresh local products.
In the afternoon, you will visit Norcia, the heart of charcuterie, where you can take a stroll through the historic center and shop for local delicacies such as prosciutto, cheeses, and olive oil, all products that tell a story of passion and tradition.
Today you can visit Orvieto, one of the most fascinating and historic cities in Umbria. Located on a tuff cliff, Orvieto will enchant you with its beauty and architectural heritage, starting from the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, one of the masterpieces of Italian Gothic architecture. After a walk through the old town, you will immerse yourself in the mysteries of the city with a visit to the Underground Orvieto. Here, among tunnels and hidden rooms, you will discover the ancient history of the city and its inhabitants, with fascinating legends that are intertwined with its reality. Free dinner and overnight
After a rich and tasty breakfast, we will go to discover Perugia, the capital of Umbria, which will fascinate you with its historical and artistic heritage. Walking through the historic center, you will admire the Fontana Maggiore, the Palazzo dei Priori and the ancient Etruscan walls that tell the long history of the city. Perugia is also famous for its pictorial tradition, with works by artists such as Perugino and Pinturicchio, and a visit to the city’s museums will allow you to learn more about this cultural wealth.
After a delicious lunch, in the afternoon, you can expect a sweet and tasty experience: the visit to the Casa del Cioccolato Perugina. Discover the history of this historic factory and its famous Bacio Perugina, a chocolate that conquered the world. You will also have the opportunity to taste different variations of Baci and discover the secrets of chocolate production in an environment rich in history and passion.
Today you will have a day at your disposal to further explore Umbria or simply relax in the comfort of the hotel. You can choose to visit one of the many picturesque villages, go shopping at local markets or take a walk surrounded by nature.
The day begins with a visit to the Marmore Waterfall, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Europe, famous for its 165 meters high and its breathtaking charm. Stroll along the trails surrounding the waterfall and relax at the scenic spots, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of this unique place. After a visit to this corner of paradise, you will have lunch in a typical local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will head to Spoleto, a medieval town where a well-prepared tourist guide will wait for you and accompany you through the wonders of the Rocca Albornoziana and the Bridge of the Towers (Ponte delle Torri). Stroll through the cobbled streets and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of this city that has managed to maintain the charm of the past.
Our tour ends with a unique experience in the Umbrian nature: a truffle hunt. After breakfast the departure is for Valtopina, a corner famous for olive oil and black truffle. The truffle hunt is a millenary tradition in Umbria, famous for the quality of its black truffles, appreciated internationally. You will discover the secrets of this precious tuber thanks to an expert truffle hunter, accompanied by a specialized hunting dog. We will guide you through a suggestive naturalistic path, concluding the experience with a lunch-tasting in the heart of the forest, to taste the fruit of your research. A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the Umbrian gastronomic tradition, nature, the green heart of Italy and the flavors of our land.
In the afternoon, you will visit Rasiglia, the “village of streams,” a unique place where water and nature intertwine with daily life. Stroll through the village’s alleys and stop at a small local shop for a tasting of craft beer, rounding off your Umbrian adventure with a refreshing and authentic experience.
